I found that using my Fusion Rifle with Fire Damage is VERY effective against those annoying Wizards.
So, I took the time to experiment with a few different things and I found that -- Fire based sniper rifle... Rockets (of course, what isn't), Hunters grenade with the Gunslinger Subclass equipped and the other few weapons that are fire based.
